Check in time begins at 3:00pm. If you would like to check in earlier, then please call us on the day of arrival to see whether your suite is ready. If your suite is not yet ready, we are happy to store your bags so you can enjoy your day in Austin.  Check out time is for 12pm noon the day of departure.

If you need to cancel a reservation, we ask that you let us know twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid any charges.
Any existing deposits are fully refunded if you cancel more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.
If you have booked online through a travel website (Priceline, Travelocity, Expedia, etc.), then you will need to contact them in order to cancel and/or modify your reservation.
 
Example: A reservation for scheduled arrival on October 17th for three nights.
Cancelled on: October 16, before 11pm CST      Total Charges: $0.00 (any deposit is refunded)
Cancelled on: October 17, before 11pm CST      Total Charges: One Night's Stay (Room and Tax)
 
 

Special Events
During special event times in Austin, we ask that you cancel your reservation two weeks (14 days) prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid any charges. If a reservation is cancelled more than two weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit is fully refunded.
The affected dates for 2014 are as follows:

  • March 6th - 16th, 2014
  • April 11th - 13th, 2014
  • June 5th - 9th, 2014
  • October 3rd - 5th and 10th - 12th, 2014
  • November 1st - 2nd, 2014

The special events cancellation policy affects all reservations that include the dates listed above.

We do not allow minors under 21 to stay unaccompanied by an adult.

We are a smoke-free property.  Smoking is prohibited in the suites, guesthouse, courtyard and within twenty-five feet of all of our buildings.  There is a designated smoking area, a teahouse, on property.
A $150.00 fee will be charged to remove smoke residue from any guest suite.

Since we cater to guests with allergies, we do not allow pets on our property.
An unregistered pet will result in a $250.00 fee.

To ensure all of guests have a peaceful and relaxing stay, Quiet Hours are observed nightly from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM.
For your comfort and protection, we will not allow parties or any noise disturbances inside or outside the suites.
In the event that you are disturbed by noise coming from this property, please call the night manager (if it is after 9pm) at 512.373.0545 and your concern will be given prompt attention.

To guarantee a reservation at Habitat Suites, a valid credit card is required at time of booking.

Although our Front Desk closes at 11:00pm each night, we always have a night manager on duty to assist our guests.  In case of emergencies, noise disturbances or other issues, you may be reach the night manager by calling 512.373.0545.

If you will be arriving at Habitat Suites after 11pm CST, then please call us at either 800.535.4663 or 512.467.6000 for the late arrival procedure. Should you have any questions after hours, there is a night manager on duty to assist you.

 One-Bedroom Suite:   2 Adults 
* infants/toddlers should safely be accomodated by Crib/Pack n'Play, which is available to be setup in your suite prior to your arrival by request.
One-Bedroom Suite with Twin Sofabed:  3 Adults 
Two-Bedroom Suite:  4 Adults
Two-Bedroom Suite with Twin Sofabed:  5 Adults

We accept all major credit cards and business checks!  You may pay cash at check out, but a valid credit card with a name matching your Photo I.D will be authorized for the total stay at check in.
Debit cards with the guest's name on it are also accepted. We do not accept any Debit/Credit Card that do not bear the guests' name, unless a valid registered business employer completes a Habitat Suites Credit Card Authorization on company letterhead, available upon request. 

Hotel stays in Austin are subject to a city tax of 9% and a state tax of 6% per night.

If you booked a reservation over the phone or online through habitatsuites.com, then you will need to call us to cancel. You will know your cancellation is complete when you have received a cancellation number and cancellation e-mail.
*If you booked online through a Travel Agent (Priceline, Expedia, Booking.com, Orbitz, etc.) You will need to contact your booking provider Customer Support for any cancellations/modifiactions to your reservation. 

If you need to make changes to your reservation--changing dates, suite type, etc.--please give us a call at 800.535.4663 or 512.467.6000 and we will be happy to assist you.
Please be aware that if you make changes to your reservation, then the rate may change accordingly.
* For Travel Agent Online reservations (Expedia, Priceline, Booking.com, etc) Please contact your travel agent customer service.

You will know your reservation is complete and in our system when you have received a confirmation number and confirmation e-mail.
This is true of reservations made over the phone and those made online through habitatsuites.com.

Yes, we require a credit card to guarantee all reservations and a credit card to be physically scanned at check in. 
When making a reservation online, your credit card will be charged a deposit equivalent to one night's room and tax. The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.
If you prefer to not use your credit card online, we invite you to book a reservation over the phone at either 800.535.4663 or 512.467.6000.

If a guest fails to notify the hotel of cancellation, the credit card on file for booking will be charged a "no-show" fee of first night's Room & Tax. To avoid being charged, reservations must be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy (24-hours prior to check-in date, or 14-days prior to Special Event check-in date) .

Unfortunately we do not have rollaway bed or cots, please inquire about our suites that are already housed with twin-size sofabeds. 
 

Yes, children under twelve stay free!

Smoking is prohibited in the suites, guesthouse, courtyard and within twenty-five feet of all of our buildings.  There is a designated smoking area, a teahouse, on property. Smoking in suites or within distances designated by law are subject to a Smoking Fee of $150.00. 

No, we do not have a restaurant on property. We do, however, serve a complimentary full, hot breakfast buffet daily , as well as offer complimentary evening hospitality Monday - Saturday, 5:00PM - 7:00PM, offering free beer and wine service, as well as delicious appetizers and tastings.

Special requests can be made when booking on-line or over the phone!  When booking on-line, there is a space provided to type any special instructions, assistance needs, disability requirements or late arrival information in the box below.
Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but we will do our very best to accommodate the request! We truly value our guests and If you have specific needs or questions regarding your upcoming stay with us, please call the hotel directly.

We have State of Texas employee rates and honor Federal Employee rates upon availability as well.  You will be asked to show government-issued photo ID that indicates your current employment with the State of Texas or Federal Government at check-in. If your employer is paying for your stay, please submit the necessary paperwork at least three days prior to your scheduled arrival.
For State of Texas employees:
You may make reservations either over the phone or online. When making an online reservation, change the rate from the Internet rate to the State of Texas rate. You will be asked to provide verification of this rate at check-in (by present state employment photo ID).

Yes, we do have guest laundry facilities. Environmentally-friendly, fragrance free laundry soap is available for sale at the Front Desk.

Yes, based upon availability. For information regarding a later check-out time, contact the Front Desk the morning of departure.

Unfortunately we do not have our own shuttle service. There are shuttles, taxis and local buses available at Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Habtiat Suites' property is also less than half a mile's distance to the nearest MetroBus Station and MetroRail Station!
