Check in time begins at 3:00pm. If you would like to check in earlier, then please call us on the day of arrival to see whether your suite is ready. If your suite is not yet ready, we are happy to store your bags so you can enjoy your day in Austin.  Check out time is for 12pm noon the day of departure.

To guarantee a reservation at Habitat Suites, a valid credit card is required at time of booking.

If you need to cancel a reservation, we ask that you let us know twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid any charges.
The deposit paid on reservations made through habitatsuites.com is fully refunded if you cancel more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.
If you have booked online through a travel website (Priceline, Travelocity, Expedia, etc.), then you will need to contact them in order to cancel.
 
Example: A reservation for scheduled arrival on October 17th for three nights.
Cancelled on: October 16, before 11pm CST      Total Charges: $0.00 (any deposit is refunded)
Cancelled on: October 17, before 11pm CST      Total Charges: One Night's Stay (Room and Tax)
 
 

Special Events
During special event times in Austin, we ask that you cancel your reservation two weeks (14 days) prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid any charges. If a reservation is cancelled more than two weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit is fully refunded.
The affected dates for 2011-2012 are as follows:

  • March 8-18, 2012
  • April 4-7, 2012
  • June 6-9, 2012
  • October 11-14, 2012
  • November 11-20, 2012

The special events cancellation policy affects all reservations that include the dates listed above.

When booking online at habitatsuites.com, a deposit equivalent to one night's room and tax will be processed automatically.

If you receive an error message regarding your credit card, then verify the credit card numbers you entered. If the error message persists, then please contact your bank or credit card issuer.

We do not allow minors under 21 to stay unaccompanied by an adult.

We are a smoke-free property.  Smoking is prohibited in the suites, guesthouse, courtyard and within twenty-five feet of all of our buildings.  There is a designated smoking area, a teahouse, on property.

A $150.00 fee will be charged to remove smoke residue from any guest suite.

Since we cater to guests with allergies, we do not allow pets on our property.
An unregistered pet will result in a $250.00 fee.

To ensure all of guests have a peaceful and relaxing stay, Quiet Hours are observed nightly from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM.
For your comfort and protection, we will not allow parties or any noise disturbances inside or outside the suites.
In the event that you are disturbed by noise coming from this property, please call the night manager (if it is after 9pm) at 512.373.0545 and your concern will be given prompt attention.

Although our Front Desk closes at 11:00pm each night, we always have a night manager on duty to assist our guests.  In case of emergencies, noise disturbances or other issues, you may be reach the night manager by calling 512.373.0545.

If you will be arriving at Habitat Suites after 11pm CST, then please call us at either 800.535.4663 or 512.467.6000 for the late arrival procedure. We will authorize the credit card number provided when making the reservation and reserve a suite for you.  Should you have any questions after hours, there is a night manager on duty to assist you.

Valid photo ID is required both for the check in process, as well as being a necessity to process a credit card.

Habitat Suites' fire code permits a maximum of 3 guests in a one bedroom suite and 5 guests in a two bedroom suite.

We accept all major credit cards and business checks.  You may pay cash at check out, but a valid credit card will be authorized for the total stay at check in.
Debit cards with the guest name on it are accepted. We do not accept prepaid debit cards that do not bear the guests' name on it.

Hotel stays in Austin are subject to a city tax of 9% and a state tax of 6% per night.

If you booked a reservation over the phone or online through habitatsuites.com, then you will need to call us to cancel. You will know your cancellation is complete when you have received a cancellation number and cancellation e-mail.

If you need to make changes to your reservation--changing dates, suite type, etc.--please give us a call at 800.535.4663 or 512.467.6000 and we will be happy to assist you.
Please be aware that if you make changes to your reservation, then the rate may change accordingly.

You will know your reservation is complete and in our system when you have received a confirmation number and confirmation e-mail.

Yes, we require a credit card to guarantee all reservations and a credit card to be physically scanned at check in.

Yes. When a reservation is made online through habitatsuites.com a deposit of one night's stay (one night's room and tax) is taken.
The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel more than 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Yes, you will be charge for one nights' stay (room and tax). Reservations are guaranteed to your credit card. To avoid being charged, reservations must be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy as outlined. Please take time to review our cancellation policies.

A suite with a sofabed (twin-size) may accomodate your needs.

No, we do not have a restaurant on property. We do, however, serve a complimentary full, hot breakfast buffet daily and Hospitality Hour (Monday-Saturday).

Special requests can be made when booking on-line or over the phone.  When booking on-line, there is a space provided to type any special instructions, assistance needs, disability requirements or late arrival information in the box below.

Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but we will do our very best to accommodate the request. If you have specific needs or questions regarding your request, please call the hotel directly.

Yes, we have federal employee and State of Texas employee rates.  You will be asked to show government-issued photo ID that indicates your current employment with the State of Texas or federal government at check-in. If your employer is paying for your stay, please submit the necessary paperwork at least three days prior to your scheduled arrival and bring a printed copy with you to check-in.
 
For State of Texas employees:
You may make reservations either over the phone or online. When making an online reservation, change the rate from the Internet rate to the State of Texas rate. You will be asked to provide verification of this rate at check-in (by present state employment photo ID).

Yes, we do have guest laundry facilities. Environmentally-friendly, fragrance free laundry soap is available for sale at the Front Desk.

Yes, based upon availability. For information regarding a later check-out time, contact the Front Desk the morning of departure.

No, we do not have our own shuttle service. There are shuttles, taxis and local buses available at Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
