The Nation's Largest Solar Array for Hotels

In 2005, Habitat Suites installed an 18-kilowatt photovoltaic system to begin harnassing the sun's rays to power the hotel. About 20% of our energy needs are satisified from the 108 panels which can be seen atop each of our three guest buildings. Additionally, the remaining percentage of electricity we purchase is from alternative sources, such as biogas and wind farms. The system will have paid for itself in 5.7 years--making it not only environmentally responsible, but also fiscally sound.
